This version strikes a balance between improvements and new features: small updates that enhance usability and true game-changers for future work, such as the new Data Exchange workflows between Revit and Autodesk Docs, along with numerous performance enhancements aimed at faster calculations, especially with large models.

Like Revit 2021, the 2022 version is packed with improvements that impact daily design and documentation workflows. We’re refining the most-used tools so you can see immediate benefits. Tables continue to be generated with the addition of conditional formatting for families and types—an improvement driven by requests from the Revit Community.

Display filters, more section categories, and a new 3D measurement tool are featured in Revit 2022 and mark Revit’s progress at the professional level, from design to documentation.

Greater flexibility and control for structural engineers with a revamped analytical modeling experience

Speed, versatility, and quality control are driving a shift toward a new analytical modeling workflow for structural engineers. Model in 2D and 3D views to define the analytical model independently of the physical model, or start with a parametric, “analysis-first” approach to develop the analytical model for buildings, roof structures, pavilions, staircases, and more.

With increased automation for steel connection libraries and many improvements for rebar, including adaptive placement and better visualization, Revit 2022 offers a comprehensive set of tools for structural engineering and detailing.

Plan-based load analysis for electrical engineers to save time in the early stages of a project
